Few and Evans Halls
Evans Hall, named after Lettie Pate Whitehead Evans - the first woman to serve on the Emory University Board of Trustees, houses second-year students in traditional double and single rooms. Together with Few Hall, these residence halls were the first halls on the Atlanta campus to achieve a LEED Gold designation by the U.S. Green Building Council. Residents who live in Few and Evans enjoy outstanding amenities including air-conditioning and moveable furniture in each room, as well as ample community space on each floor.

Kayla Hamilton

Kayla Hamilton serves as the Director of Residence Life. In her role, Kayla oversees the daily operations and crisis response for the department and works actively with Housing Operations staff on Opening, Closing, and Assignments aspects of the department. Kayla also serves as a member of the Campus Wide Student Intervention Services Response Team.
Prior to Emory, Kayla worked in similar roles at Appalachian State University (Boone, NC), the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC) and the University of California at Berkeley (Berkeley, CA). She is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Georgia.
Kayla is an avid musical theater fan as well as a follower of college basketball.

Associate Director, Facilities and Operations

Manages questions or concerns relating to residential inspections, furniture, and maintenance/custodial needs (such as work order follow-ups and repair scheduling) within all residential halls and theme houses across the Atlanta Campus. Works closely with Campus Services, Facilities Maintenance, Custodial Services, Planning Design and Construction, and Residence Life.

Manages in-person, phone, and email queries related to housing operations on the Atlanta (Main) Campus. Manages Atlanta Campus keys including lockouts, temporary loans, lock changes, and lock malfunctions. Directs students and parents to appropriate staff within housing operations and Residence Life. Most commonly interacts with Residence Life, maintenance, and Lock Shop.
