Service Center

The Emory Service Center provides support for our Emory students on Main Campus and Clairmont Campus with lockouts, lock changes, malfunctioning prox cards, work orders, room changes, move- in, checkout, address verification, lost and found, and key maintenance. For assistance with any such issues, please visit the Service Center during the following hours.

Position Title: Service Center Desk Representative -Student Staff

Pay: Hourly rate
Up to 20 Hours per week

Department: Housing Operations

Reports to: Service Supervisor

Position Summary
Provide a wide range of support and services to students, staff, families and guests through the service centers via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.  As a first stop for student housing questions for on-campus residents.  The centers manage resident keys, move-ins, move-outs, lockouts, lock changes, work order follow-up, and general customer service.

Work under the guidance and supervision of the Administrative Assistant at Raoul Hall office and the Service Center Representative, Sr. at Clairmont Tower office.  This position will also operate under the leadership of the Graduate Assistant (G.A.) positions in both locations.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants are required to be in good academic standing with the University, which includes being a full-time registered student at Emory.  These positions require good judgment, motivation, self-starting abilities, energy, commitment, caring, self-discipline, knowledge of campus resources, sensitivity to racial and cultural diversity and common sense.  Overall job effectiveness is determined by the ability to establish and maintain credibility and good rapport with all residents and fellow staff members, while offering the highest quality of customer service.

Student Staff are expected to affirm and uphold university policies that help create and maintain non-discriminatory campus and living group environments.  They must be responsive regarding issues of multiculturalism, sexism, racism, gender, sexual orientation, lifestyle, and disability.
