Scientific Research and Mentorship

Scientific Research and Mentorship Hall

Theme Description: The Scientific Research and Mentorship Hall will establish a learning community of Emory undergraduate research students. While living together in the Undergraduate Residential Center (URC) of the Clairmont Campus, participants will be expected to pursue their research interests and work toward servicing the Emory community through peer mentorship and community engagement. While research and service are the main pillars of this theme hall, encouraging inclusivity and equal representation in STEM related career paths will be an additional objective. Participants will be supported by bi-weekly direct engagement with a Faculty-in-Residence, community building events, and professional development activities and funding. In addition to the increased support from peers and faculty, participants will also receive a stipend for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Who Can Apply: A commitment to undergraduate research for the 2019-2020 academic year and a demonstration of academic prowess in STEM courses (via submission of an unofficial transcript) is required. The Scientific Research and Mentorship Hall is open ONLY to rising third- and fourth-year students at Emory (College, Business, Nursing, etc.), who will not be studying abroad for 2019-20 Academic Year.
