Health & Safety Inspections
In order to adequately maintain the residential facilities, health and safety inspections are conducted to ensure a clean environment and that no policy violations are occurring. You have the right to expect an environment that is conducive to study, sleep, and socialization. Many diverse individuals comprise the residential community at Emory. As a result of this shared environment, it is necessary for the University to have policies and procedures in place that serve as standards for all residents’ behaviors. These policies are not meant to hinder the student but to protect individual and community rights.
It is an expectation that once students sign their respective Housing Agreements, they understand the rules and regulations of living in campus housing— regardless of whether residency is within a traditional hall, suite, apartment, fraternity house, sorority house, or theme house.
