Hall Council Elections

Elections take place early every fall semester. Positions for President, VP of Finance and VP of Programming are filled for each Hall Council.

Homecoming Parade

Join RHA to celebrate Emory at the annual Homecoming Parade. Hall Councils work together to decorate a float for their residence hall and come together with their fellow residents to walk in the parade! It is an excellent way to flaunt your creative talents and meet people within your community!

October

Fall Festival

RHA hosts their annual Fall Festival each October; each hall sponsors a night of fun based on a party theme. Hall Councils give out free food, come up with games, and create a safe and fun environment for residents to come together and build community.

November

Emory Cares

This is a campus-wide volunteer initiative co-sponsored by RHA, Volunteer Emory, and other campus organizations. Be sure to sign up fo your hall's project. Ask your Hall Council President or Hall Council Volunteer Chair for more information.

Last Lecture

Based on the book Last Lecture by Jeffrey Zaslow and Randy Pausch, the Executive Council comes together and selects an Emory professor to lecture as if it were their last time to Emory residents. A night filled with fun, food, and engaging conversations is guaranteed for residents that attend this event. It is an excellent event that showcases Emory's liberal arts roots and introduces residents to topics outside of their major!

December

Crystal Apples Nominations

Recognize Emory's best professors! RHA sponsors the Crystal Apples Awards every year, but we need YOUR input! Nominate your favorite professor for a Crystal Apple this December. More information about nominations to come!

February

Festive February

RHA hosts their annual Festive February each February; each hall sponsors a night of fun based on a party theme. Hall Councils give out free food, come up with games, and create a safe and fun environment for residents to come together and build community. The goal of this event is to boast student morale and create a smooth transition from the Winter Break.

Crystal Apples Awards

After reading your nominations, a committee will decide who the Crystal Apples recipients for this year are. We will honor these recipients at a banquet this February; will your favorite professor be recognized?

April

First-Year Farewell

An end of year event planned by the first year Hall Council Presidents to commemorate the end of the residents’ first year at Emory. It is a larger scale event with activities such as bouncy castles, catered food, and raffles.
