Yes, this will ensure that you are accounted for a housing assignment for the upcoming academic year. 
Housing applications are due by February 14th, 2025 and can be accessed within your myHousing portal. 
No, information sessions are a required element within the student staff recruitment and selection process. Information sessions will be virtual, with opportunities to register for a session on October 24th, October 30th, and November 12th.
Please communicate any issues encountered with orsflselection@emory.edu. Provide yourself at least 48 hours before the submission deadline to submit your application so that any issues can be addressed before the deadline(s).
Yes, applicants must be enrolled with full-time status. For more information on what is considered full-time, please view here. Applicants must also maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher before and during the employment. 
No, student staff training in August is a critical component of onboarding and preparation within your role. Absence from summer training may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Required dates will be provided during the Spring Orientation meeting.
Unfortunately, positions are hired with the expectation that student staff commit to a full academic year within their role(s).
No, student staff are hired based on need and qualities that will enhance the student staff team for the upcoming year. If you decline an offer as a result of the assigned building, you will not be extended an offer for another building. 
Candidates that are designated as alternates have not been offered a position within a building but are not precluded from being offered a position at a later date. For a variety of reasons student staff positions become vacant, and candidates within the alternate pool will be extended offers for vacant positions as they arise.
Yes, this happens quite often every year. However, we cannot provide you with a timeline as openings are filled throughout the year and an offer is not guaranteed.

Candidates should contact International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) regarding F-1 or J-1 visas and student employment. If you hold another University employed position, there may be a specific number of hours worked that you may not exceed per week. The website can be found here.
