Second Year Roommate Matching

If you are interested in searching for or matching with a roommate you must complete the housing application on your MyHousing page first.  Students will not appear in roommate search if they have not completed the housing application.

Second Year Residence Halls

As a second-year student, you do get to go through Housing Selection. To see more information about the residence halls available to you as a rising second year student please click on the "Housing Options" tab, then "Residence Halls" and then "Second Year". Here you can see floor plans, videos/photos, and amenities of specific residence halls.

Selection times are randomly assigned and are not based on the date your application is received.  Make sure you complete the application by the respective deadline.
If you are eligible for same room reservation you may complete it at any time the process is open.

Housing Assignments

Rising second year students are required to live on campus and guaranteed on campus housing.  Housing selection for rising second year students will take place in April.

All current students interested in on-campus housing, including sorority and fraternity housing, should participate in the online room selection process by the appropriate deadlines.

Housing Accommodation Requests

If you currently have a housing accommodation on file with the Department of Accessibility Services, a staff member from Housing Operations will reach out to you during the week of April 19th to review housing assignment options with you.  Please make sure that you have completed your housing application prior to this point.

Planning to Study Abroad? 

Students who are studying abroad during the Spring 2022 semester are able to cancel their housing agreement with no penalty.  If you are living in an apartment with another student prior to going abroad please be aware that Housing Operations may assign another student to this vacancy for the spring 2022 semester.
