Move In and Out
MOVING TIPS
A few pieces of advice for move-in/out from students and staff
-
Matthew Nails
Student 22C and RA
"Don't over pack! Sometimes it's overwhelming to know what you need to bring but think about the essentials and leave the inessentials at home. You can always have them shipped later if you need them! Then, when moving out, start packing early especially when it comes to non-essential items. "
-
Catherine Cole
Student 22C and RA
"To truly make the suite life sweet, bring the essentials: bedding, toilet paper, and a smile! "
-
Tatiana Ramirez
Student 22C
"If you are an out-of-state student and need to store your belongings during the summer, make sure to make arrangements early!"
-
Brian Pirapakaran
Complex Director
"Email your roommate before move-in to establish a bond before move-in day. Remember to have an open-mind to learning across differences once you arrive at Emory. Finally, meet and greet your Resident Advisor! They are there for you!"

Sherry Ebrahimi
Director of Housing Administration and Conference Services
"Coordinate items with incoming roommate so you don’t have two of everything! ( If you are willing to share!)"
